Interesting facts about me

Hi Everyone! I don't want to bore you - so let's get to the fun stuff - I live in Bend, Oregon along with my incredible husband, our dog-loving-cat "Tasha", and our newest addition to the family, "RooPurt" - a rescued Dane that we adopted on May 16, 2008 in Beaverton, Oregon. I have finally added pictures =) - Wow, I didn't realize I had not updated this since we adopted him. Geesh, so much has happened. We completed Petsmart classes and I think they were happy to have us out of there as we were still dealing with the aggressive behavior toward other dogs. We began taking Roo to the dog park, on the outside looking in so he could observe dogs playing together, something he just never did due to a bad background. Someone was watching over us, because one time that we were there, we were introduced to Dennis Fehling, a dog trainer who immediately picked up on a lot of signs from RooPurt and a three minute analysis that he was not dog aggressive, instead he was dog phobic - afraid of other dogs. We set up our first session with Dennis, his wife and one of their awesome pitbulls, Beau. Five and a half hours later, taking it one foot at a time, RooPurt got to 29 feet from Beau. Our second session, although starting a bit back from where we left off got us up to 16 feet, we have had a lot of snow and unable to make that third session. We look forward to it though!

Other stuff - I'm a military brat - grew up everywhere and am very appreciative of the opportunity. The farthest place was Japan, which I loved and hope to go back again with my husband. I love Central Oregon and the lifestyle here.

Places to visit before you turn 100

Oh my - so many places! Okay, I love Mexico - Randy and I got married on the beach in Cabo San Lucas (umm, very cheap by the way-contact me if you need details!!) - we have gone back each year, in the Fall. This year it is Puerto Vallerta!

Puerto Rico - wow, this is a gorgeous, gorgeous place!

Japan!!! I can't say enough positive things about living in this country. The weirdest thing for me - coming back to the states because, you need to realize, you are not exposed to American television or American music - so, I have a soft spot for foreigners in our area as I understand how overwhelming it can be.

Oregon!!! Lol, for anyone who loves hiking, skiing, rock climbing - okay, so I don't do any of these but let me tell you an incredible thing about Central Oregon - the elevation level is too high for flea's to survive!! Yay!!! No flea's!!
